Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair on all makes of cranes, heavy duty trucks and other equipment
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
- Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, and technical drawings
- Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
- Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
- Able to work with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs
- Able to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
- Able to lift 50 pounds
Skills And Experience Requirements
- Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Must have a strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical background
- Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
- Able to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
- Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus
- A CDL is desirable but not required
