About the role
Completing service requests in a timely and proficient manner using excellent customer service skills. Repairing and/or installing all appliances as necessary. Ensuring compliance with all environmental and OSHA regulations and company policies. Completing and maintaining required paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Install appliances and HVAC items including but not limited to dishwashers, disposals, stoves, and refrigerators to maintain a safe, comfortable, and quality dwelling.
- Diagnose and repair failed electrical circuits in residential HVAC systems and household appliances.
- HVAC responsibilities: replacing compressors and condensers, repairing/replacing/cleaning fan motors, burners, and thermostats, leak detection and repair, control valve replacement, and A/C charging.
- Analyze and repair the refrigeration cycle using system pressures, superheat, sub-cooling, dry/wet bulb temperatures, and airflow effects to properly charge a refrigeration system.
- Repair plumbing systems including toilets, faucets, garbage disposals, hot water heaters, and gas ranges.
- Complete work orders using the ticket system ServUS Connect.
- Perform basic carpentry skills including glazing, caulking, minor carpentry, and screening.
- Review, understand, comply with, and fulfill training requirements for Operations/Maintenance (O&M) Plans and Respiratory Protection Programs.
- Perform preventative maintenance program inspections.
- Replace deadbolts, conventional locksets, electrical switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
- Maintain curb appeal using power blowers, pressure washers, and other tools as needed.
- Available for inclement weather maintenance before, during, and after events.
- Participate in on-call duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least three years of HVAC repair experience, including troubleshooting and repairing small and large appliances.
- EPA 608 Certified Type I, Type II, or Universal (CFC certification) required.
- Must consent to work with regulated chemicals, materials, and substances.
- Valid driver’s license within the state of residency, acceptable driving record, and own transportation.
- Score at an acceptable level on the Maintenance Evaluation Test.
- Provide your own hand tools, including but not limited to: flashlight, level, drill bits, socket set, hammer, screwdriver/assorted, nut driver, wrenches (1/4-3/4), adjustable wrench, files, extension cord, hack saw, saw, pipe wrench, pliers/assorted, electric meter, basin wrench, seat/stem wrench, tin snips, set of gauges, A/C tools, and propane torch.
- In accordance with the Respiratory Protection Program, obtain medical clearance to wear a respirator (provided by the company), be clean-shaven, and consent to wear a respirator.

Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 + additional bonus opportunities throughout the year.

$23.80–$27.70 per hour
