Service Technician - HVAC

About the role

The HVAC Service Technician specializes in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management. This role supports the growing service business within MIH Systems Group.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
• Provide startup services on complex HVAC equipment from various manufacturers
• Mentor others in the field
• Must hold an EPA Universal license
• Must have your own hand tools
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have OSHA 10-hour training certification and OSHA 30 (preferred)
• Preferred certifications include NJ Master HVAC-R, manufacturing certifications (i.e. Aaon, Smart Chiller, Samsung, ClimaCool, ClimateMaster…, etc.)
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills and timely performance

Requirements

• 5+ years field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning
• Knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems
• Startup experience
• Mentored others in the field
• EPA Universal license
• Own hand tools
• Clean driving record
• OSHA 10-hour training certification and OSHA 30 (preferred)
• NJ Master HVAC-R (preferred)
• Manufacturing certifications (i.e. Aaon, Smart Chiller, Samsung, ClimaCool, ClimateMaster…, etc. - preferred)

MIH Systems Group offers competitive compensation, including a range of $35/hourly - $55/hourly based on experience and skills, plus benefits.
