Service Technician - HVAC
About the role
The HVAC Service Technician at MIH Systems Group specializes in the start-up and service of equipment for various applications including air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management. This role supports the growing service business within the NYC Metro area.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
- Provide preventive maintenance
- Offer break/fix repair services
- Perform equipment retrofit services
- Support the Ambient team in delivering cost-effective solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of solo field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning
- Knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems
- Proficiency with troubleshooting (mechanical)
- Previous experience with preventative maintenance
- Experience with Aaon, Climatemaster, Multistack Chiller, ClimaCool, VRF System (Samsung, Hitachi, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of refrigeration
- Controls background
- Manufacturing representative experience
- Chiller experience
- EPA certification
- Clean driving record

Must have a clean driving record.
Skills
Must have knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems. Proficiency with troubleshooting (mechanical). Previous experience with preventative maintenance. Experience with Aaon, Climatemaster, Multistack Chiller, ClimaCool, VRF System (Samsung, Hitachi, etc.). Advanced knowledge of refrigeration. Controls background. Manufacturing representative experience. Chiller experience. EPA certification.
