Service Technician (FORD)

About the role

Peach State Truck Centers is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The position involves diagnosing and repairing various truck systems, recreational vehicles, buses, and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts
• Perform standard vehicle maintenance
• Perform air conditioning and heating diagnostic and repairs
• Charging system diagnostic and repair
• Basic computer diagnostics and repair
• Test drive trucks and RVs to diagnose malfunctions or ensure they are working properly
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions
• Keep work area and customer vehicles clean during and after repairs

Requirements

• Class B - CDL preferred, not required
• ASE Certifications, preferred but not required
• 2 - 5 years’ experience in medium - heavy duty repairs
• Self-starter with a strong aptitude for spotting trends and complex systems
• Independent, analytical, critical, and creative thinker
• Resourceful problem solver with a focus on task completion
