About the role
Peach State Truck Centers is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The position involves diagnosing and repairing various truck systems, recreational vehicles, buses, and performing routine maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance
- Perform air conditioning and heating diagnostic and repairs
- Charging system diagnostic and repair
- Basic computer diagnostics and repair
- Test drive trucks and RVs to diagnose malfunctions or ensure they are working properly
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Keep work area and customer vehicles clean during and after repairs
Requirements
- Class B - CDL preferred, not required
- ASE Certifications, preferred but not required
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in medium - heavy duty repairs
- Self-starter with a strong aptitude for spotting trends and complex systems
- Independent, analytical, critical, and creative thinker
- Resourceful problem solver with a focus on task completion
