Service Technician - Entry Level
Entry-level role supporting trailer repair and maintenance under the guidance of experienced technicians and store leadership. Designed for mechanically inclined individuals looking to build hands-on skills in trailer repair while learning proper processes, safety standards, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical, electrical, brake, axle, and wiring repairs under supervision
- Perform basic inspections and identify obvious wear or safety issues
- Support installation of parts, accessories, and equipment
- Help prepare trailers for customer pickup and service completion
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
- Learn to read and follow work orders accurately
- Develop diagnostic skills with guidance from senior technicians
- Participate in on-the-job training and technical skill development
- Learn proper documentation practices for completed work
- Build familiarity with trailer systems, tools, and shop equipment
- Communicate job status and questions clearly to store leadership
- Request parts and supplies as directed
- Support shop organization and help keep work moving efficiently
- Assist teammates as needed to meet daily service demands
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on repair work
- Prior experience as a helper, lube tech, shop assistant, or similar role is a plus
- Willingness to learn trailer systems including wiring, brakes, axles, and suspensions
- Dependable work habits and strong attention to safety
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay
Hourly pay based on experience and skill level, with overtime eligibility and participation in a monthly, department-based performance bonus. Opportunities to grow compensation increase as skills, responsibility, and proficiency develop.
