Job Summary

We Are Patterson! Patterson Companies, Inc. is dedicated to providing top-notch products, technologies, services, and business solutions to the animal and oral health markets. We are currently seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our Dental Service team. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside industry leaders, providing exceptional customer service while learning to install and repair a variety of dental equipment, including computer-related items.

About the Role

This position involves installing and repairing dental equipment, following checklists, and adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols. Employees will also contribute to customer service by supporting customers in a timely and professional manner, building relationships, and communicating effectively with both customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Install and/or Repair Dental Equipment: Under supervision, safely remove, modify, repair, and install various dental equipment. Follow checklists and adhere to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Follow Checklists: Ensure all critical parts are examined and demonstrate knowledge of installation procedures and jobsite protocol.
  • Apply Manufacturer Guidelines: Apply specific manufacturer and Patterson guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable laws and regulations related to asepsis.
  • Customer Service: Support customer needs by responding in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating a people-first approach, and maintaining customer relationships through follow-up and courteous interactions.
  • Additional Functions: Work Ethic: Commit to working with urgency and persistence, overcoming obstacles, and following Patterson's business conduct and code of ethics. Problem Solving Skills: Anticipate and solve problems and meet customer expectations. Interpersonal Skills: Establish and maintain productive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Inventory Management: Determine parts, supplies, or tools needed to complete service requests and manage vehicle inventory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Strong work ethic and a focus on customer expectations
  • Basic computer skills and/or ability to use smart phone/tablet
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams is helpful
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Qualifications

  • Trade school training in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, or electronics is highly desirable but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
