Responsibilities
- Install and/or repair dental equipment under general supervision, with the ability to work independently after training.
- Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined during installations and repairs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of installation procedures and jobsite protocol.
- Apply manufacturer guidelines, Patterson protocols, OSHA regulations, and other applicable laws related to asepsis.
- Respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner, building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Communicate effectively with customers, using general terminology to explain technical aspects to non-technical audiences.
- Anticipate problems and customer needs, going beyond training to find solutions.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Determine parts, supplies, or tools needed to complete service requests and manage vehicle inventory.
- Maintain a quality driving record and ensure proper vehicle maintenance for safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and/or ability to use a smartphone/tablet.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school training in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, or electronics is highly desirable.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams is helpful.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands
- Remain in a stationary or driving position up to 100% of the day.
- Lift boxes and dental supplies weighing 1-25 pounds up to 75% of the day.
- Position oneself to install or maintain dental equipment, including working under equipment or cabinets, up to 50% of the day.
- Reach at shoulder level and waist level up to 25% of the day.
- Move or lift dental equipment and supplies weighing 26-49 pounds up to 10% of the day.
- Move dental equipment weighing up to 50 pounds into place less than 5% of the day.
- Climb steps and/or ladders less than 5% of the day.
Environmental Factors
- Travel to customer locations to provide services and support.
- 100% travel to customer sites within a local geographic area.
- Occasional out-of-town travel for overnight and/or after-hours work.
Pay
The potential compensation range for this role is $20.91 - $27.16 per hour. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on factors such as candidate location, experience, and skills.
