Service Technician

About the role
The Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs a wide variety of equipment found in service stations and convenience stores, including:
- Fuel dispensers
- Submersible fuel pumps
- Service station site controllers
- Credit card readers and cash register consoles
- Pumping PCW
- Tank and line monitoring equipment
You will work safely, comply with fire safety, OSHA, and EPA regulations, analyze and repair equipment, perform scheduled maintenance, and complete factory-authorized modifications. The role also involves maintaining tools, following customer safety guidelines, resolving warranty calls, and providing after-hours service as needed.
You will deliver quality customer service, complete duties cost-effectively, obtain and maintain manufacturer certifications, and assist with equipment start-up and commissioning. Travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fueling infrastructure equipment
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues, performing repairs professionally
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and factory-authorized modifications
- Maintain tools and follow safety guidelines at customer sites
- Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors
- Perform after-hours service calls as needed
- Perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems (electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work)
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring cost-effective completion of duties
- Complete prerequisite work for OEM certifications
- Assist lead technicians with equipment start-up and commissioning
- Travel as required for service projects
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver License
- Familiarity with computer operations and aptitude for learning computer skills
- Gilbarco Dispenser and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification preferred
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Qualifications
- Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours per day
- Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR (if driving for the company)
