Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs a wide variety of equipment found in service stations and convenience stores, including:

• Fuel dispensers
• Submersible fuel pumps
• Service station site controllers
• Credit card readers and cash register consoles
• Pumping PCW
• Tank and line monitoring equipment

You will work safely, comply with fire safety, OSHA, and EPA regulations, analyze and repair equipment, perform scheduled maintenance, and complete factory-authorized modifications. The role also involves maintaining tools, following customer safety guidelines, resolving warranty calls, and providing after-hours service as needed.

You will deliver quality customer service, complete duties cost-effectively, obtain and maintain manufacturer certifications, and assist with equipment start-up and commissioning. Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fueling infrastructure equipment
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues, performing repairs professionally
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and factory-authorized modifications
• Maintain tools and follow safety guidelines at customer sites
• Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors
• Perform after-hours service calls as needed
• Perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems (electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work)
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring cost-effective completion of duties
• Complete prerequisite work for OEM certifications
• Assist lead technicians with equipment start-up and commissioning
• Travel as required for service projects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver License
• Familiarity with computer operations and aptitude for learning computer skills
• Gilbarco Dispenser and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification preferred
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Qualifications

• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours per day
• Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR (if driving for the company)
