Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician role is important to the success of all DLP-owned and managed assets, as this individual is part of a team responsible for ensuring we offer a top service experience to our residents, tenants and guests. This includes responsibility for curb appeal, maintenance needs, cleaning, and after-hour emergency service needs. This position requires flexibility and the ability to understand and service the basic needs of all assigned properties, providing assistance as needed and during on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete all assigned service requests with no callbacks within 48 hours of being assigned.
• Displaying exceptional customer service, performing make-ready work to get the rental homes ready once vacated, while ensuring all work orders are managed and closed within 48 hours.
• This position will require frequent work outdoors in all weather conditions. High levels of customer service are essential for the success of the community as well as the cleanliness and marketability of the scattered sites for leasing and guest reviews.

Requirements

• Strong handyman skills with experience in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively while working in the field.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and work order systems.
• CPO Certification is a plus.
• Must provide basic hand tools.
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Self-starter who can work independently across multiple properties.
• Reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in residential or commercial maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting.

Pay

Compensation: Starting at $23.00-$25.00 Hourly, depending on experience and certification. Significant bonus potential with excellent performance.

Schedule

This job requires a flexible schedule with varied work hours that may include weekends.
