About the Role
The Service Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of manual and automatic doors with or without direct onsite supervision.
Responsibilities
- Install and service manual and automatic doors
- Maintain company-owned equipment
- Work in a team environment with other service team members
- Observe all safety rules and best practices
- Participate in on call rotation schedule for emergency service calls – involves 1 week per month with on call pay
- Other relative duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Low voltage electrical experience
- Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in similar position
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and work well within a team environment
- Ability to read and use a measuring tape, level and other required tools for installation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule when required to meet customer needs (nights, weekends, overnight)
- Comfortable with heights such as working a ladder and/or aerial man-lift
- Solid organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Physical Demands
- This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment.
- The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening.
- Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
