As a Service Technician, you will load and/or unload drums and containers from trucks and process and/or store hazardous waste materials while prioritizing health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Load and/or unload drums and containers from trucks; process and/or store hazardous waste materials.
  • Weigh and break down large containers into smaller containers for processing.
  • Complete inspections and mechanical placement of drums on conveyor; manually place buckets from pallet to carriage.
  • Drive forklift to retrieve drums and containers from storage and operate computer and conveyor systems.
  • Transport and position trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash.
  • Pump liquid out of containers and transfer material from tanks using a centrifugal pump.
  • Maintain a clean work area and complete basic housekeeping tasks.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Previous experience operating a forklift (preferred).
  • HAZWOPER certificate or previous fire-fighting experience (preferred).
