About the role

A skilled Service Technician responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing loading dock equipment, industrial doors, and specialty lifts.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, align, and adjust equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure performance.
  • Modify and fine-tune machinery.
  • Perform safety inspections.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Perform repairs or disassembly.
  • Plan installations.
  • Address customer requests and concerns.
  • Maintain an organized work environment.
  • Drive to customer sites.
  • Ensure equipment safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or associate’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ability to read blueprints and analyze problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, and perform detailed inspections.

Skills

  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform planned maintenance and repairs efficiently.
