Service Technician 1 Trainee

Responsibilities

• Initiates gas service, performs leak investigations and makes repairs.
• Locates gas lines.
• Reads gas meters.
• Completes work order system documentation.
• Serves as First Responder in emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No previous experience needed.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Knowledge of industry and company safety standards and regulations.
• Basic mechanical tasks and use of proper tools.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of all occupational qualifications.
• Supervisory sign-off upon completion of all prerequisites.

Skills

• Proficient using personal computers and software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
