About the role

The Preventative Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the textile care processing facility equipment. This position is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and collaborating with the Service Technician to communicate mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on laundry equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that align with manufacturing operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Absorb and assist Service Technician with repairs as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software.
• Adherence to safety protocols and attention to detail ensures a secure work environment and compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired from a high school diploma and related experience in an industrial environment and/or a technical certification or diploma in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• OSHA 10 Certification.
