About the role

Our Service Tech Trainee position is an entry-level opportunity designed to train and certify you for routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment. The company covers all training costs, including lodging and meals, even if sessions are outside your local area. This role requires at least 40 hours per week, with overtime available. Most calls are completed during day shift, but after training, you will participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for customers at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units (e.g., Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, Bennett) and POS systems (e.g., VeriFone, Gilbarco, NCR).
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
• Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
• Analyze and repair electrical and mechanical problems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Daily local travel.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
