About the Role

Repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the service manager with supervisory duties.
• Work alone on engine/compressor packages or engine/generator packages while maintaining professionalism.
• Understand engine electric controls and governing systems, including electronic controls.
• Perform all work associated with gas compressor revamp.
• Stay informed of the latest changes in equipment models.
• Ensure all jobs are completed proficiently and safely.
• Promote good welfare among the company and its divisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of previous experience.
• G.E.D. or High School Diploma; applied certifications preferred.
• Must meet all qualifications of a Service Tech Class A.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Certification in WED VHP technology and VGF technology preferred.
• Working knowledge of the role and its relation to business objectives.
• Ability to meet company goals and conform to policies and procedures.
• Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if driving a company vehicle).
• Ability to pass and maintain DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements (if applicable).
• Computer literate, with preference for Windows-based environment (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend and twist several times a day.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and days.
• Maintain good client relations and professional appearance.
• Promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight.
• Ability to supervise and motivate others.
• Ability to operate basic shop equipment.
• Ability to obtain advanced manufacturer certifications.
• Protect company assets and interests.

Schedule

Typical hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend hours as necessary. Work may be performed outside or at customer locations as required.
