Scope of Work
Repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Have a good understanding of gas engine tune‑up
- Do component overhaul
- Do component repair
- Perform proper disassembly
- Be able to perform small engine repair
- Maintain a neat and organized work area
- Perform cylinder head overhaul
- Proficient in the use of measurement and test equipment
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ensure that all jobs are completed proficiently and safely
- Clean the shop workspace after each job
- Take advantage of any training offered by the company
- Promote good welfare among the company and its divisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- Typical hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Weekend hours as necessary
- Outside work as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience
- GED, High School Diploma, trade school, or special service training preferred
Requirements: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Working knowledge of the position and its relation to overall business objectives
- Ability to meet company goals and objectives
- Compliance with company policies and procedures
- Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record per insurance standards (if driving a company vehicle)
- Ability to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing as required by the Department of Transportation (if applicable)
- Physical ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility to work varied hours and days
- Dependability and ability to work independently
- Maintain good client relations and a professional appearance
- Promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
- Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed
- Effective operation of shop equipment
- Capability to rebuild engine components
- Obtain required manufacturer certifications
- Provide necessary hand tools, pneumatic accessories, and a toolbox for daily activities
- Protect company assets and interests
