Responsibilities

• Aid in preparing all units for move-in.
• Respond promptly to resident work order requests to diagnose and resolve HVAC, heating, appliance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems.
• Inspect the community daily to identify and address maintenance or repair needs.
• Clear snow and ice during inclement weather as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule and participate in on-call duty, responding to emergencies within 30 minutes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of maintenance experience in apartments, hotels, or similar environments.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and appliances, and working knowledge of plumbing fixtures, basic electrical circuitry, carpentry, and proficiency in using power and hand tools (service technicians supply their own hand tools).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, including availability for on-call hours.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including supplies and appliances.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer experiences and embodying core customer service elements: Caring, Professionalism, Empowerment, Leadership, and Inclusion.
• HVAC, CFC certification preferred (required at some communities), and plumbing and electrical certification is preferred.
