About the Role
Field Service Technician responsible for accurate troubleshooting, diagnosing, timely repairs, and component installation on all models of Masaba equipment to ensure proper factory specification and correct system operation. The role involves working both in the field and at Masaba manufacturing facilities, providing technical support to customers via phone, email, and text on maintenance and operational issues.
Must be willing to work out of town, overtime, and weekends as needed. Participates in follow-up meetings to discuss engineering changes and upgrades, assists with final equipment inspections to meet Masaba quality goals, and contributes to continuous improvement of department processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs on Masaba equipment to factory specifications.
- Install components and ensure correct system operation.
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and text.
- Work in the field and at Masaba manufacturing facilities.
- Hold follow-up meetings with personnel to discuss engineering changes and upgrades.
- Assist with final equipment inspections to meet quality goals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of department processes.
Requirements
- Work safely with minimal supervision on customer sites and in manufacturing facilities.

- Attention to detail and conscientious nature.
- Strong sense of urgency with customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics system reasoning skills.
- Good judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a passport and MSHA certification.
- Ability to work independently with self-motivation.
- Clear communication in English.
Qualifications
- Ability to work standing on hard surfaces (e.g., concrete) for long periods in hot or cold environments.
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic blueprints.
- Perform basic shop math functions and use standard measuring devices.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Ability to work at heights, including using ladders and manlifts.
- Dexterity to grasp and manipulate small objects/tools.
- Lift and carry up to fifty pounds and crawl in tight spaces.
- Ability to work at high elevations.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and ability to learn internal business systems.
