About the role

As a Service Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring customer operations run smoothly by installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining industrial dock and door equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, maintain, and install customer equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field
• Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships
• Complete service calls efficiently and get it done right the first time
• Document work using handheld devices
• Operate equipment including forklifts, welders, torches, and power tools
• Follow job site safety requirements and customer protocols
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
• Support and mentor other technicians as your experience grows
• Occasionally travel for overnight assignments (under 10%)
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• 1-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic service work
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
• A customer-first mindset and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Ability to safely operate a DOT-compliant service vehicle
• Commitment to safety on every job
• Willingness to travel as needed

Qualifications

Pay

The hiring range for this position in USA-MN-Arden Hills is $25.70-$35.30 per hour based on a 40-hour work week. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs.

Schedule

A stable, year-round work schedule with occasional overnight travel (under 10%).
