Responsibilities

• Safety: Ensure team members adhere to Xylem Safety training and protocols for each task and have necessary PPE; promote a safety‑focused culture through daily safety talks.
• Staff Leadership: Hire, develop, support, supervise and coach multiple direct reports; execute the established training program for all shop service personnel; ensure staff adhere to policies, procedures (safety, operational, equipment care/use) and stay compliant with regulations such as DOT.
• Scope Delivery: Understand contract and project scope; work with project sales and operations to ensure positive delivery; schedule and manage field staff executing scope; provide input during proposal phase when applicable.
• Internal and External Communication: Keep internal stakeholders informed of shop repair activities and risk/mitigation strategies; inform Area Manager of repair‑related updates, safety, production reports, project issues/scope of work.
• Quality Management: Responsible for effective QA/QC on all service repairs; analyze data, identify discrepancies, develop and implement corrective actions; support and drive corporate initiatives such as Watermark, Concern reporting, point kaizens.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Bachelor’s/technical degree preferred.
• 2‑3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• 3‑5 years of submersible pump experience required.
• Efficient in Microsoft Office and standard asset systems/software.
• Waste Water System experience and pump experience is a plus.

Schedule

Working environment is based in a shop with potential for outdoor field support, subject to weather extremities, use of PPE, exposures to high heat; physical demands may include regularly sitting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The role may require 15‑20 % of time spent in the field.
