About the role

Join Kelly as a Service Supervisor, managing our Field Service team in a dynamic, customer-focused environment! The Service Supervisor is responsible for scheduling, directing work, supporting a team of field technicians, and engaging with customers to answer questions, assist with estimates and work orders, and ensure service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the Field Service team, ensuring efficient scheduling, work order management, and high-quality customer service.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding service, estimates, and work orders.
  • Work closely with the service admin for effective team scheduling and workflow management.
  • Review and support service estimates, communicate with customers regarding status and next steps.
  • Manage assigned purchases, execute buying strategies, and place purchase orders with vendors according to material needs.
  • Analyze sourcing/purchasing initiatives to deliver cost-effective, high-quality service.
  • Prepare recommendations for process improvements and cost reduction.
  • Apply procurement and sourcing policies consistently.
  • Conduct minor contract negotiations and support larger contract development with compliance and legal documentation.
  • Assist with vendor management, price benchmarking, and industry research.
  • Support Six Sigma projects, providing data and participating as a team member.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience in customer service or customer-facing roles.
  • Comfortable directing, scheduling, and delegating work assignments (service admin support provided).
  • Knowledge of diesel engines strongly preferred.
  • Proven skills in project management, financial analysis, and issue analysis.
  • Awareness or experience with information security plans.
  • Familiarity with basic contract development and legal compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of purchasing ethics and sourcing strategy development.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools.

Education & Experience

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in a related business field, such as supply chain management.
  • Minimal prior experience required, but relevant industry exposure is a plus.
