Service Strategy Analyst
About the role
Provide support to a Service Headquarters organization in the research, analysis, and assessment of service strategy, plans, and their implementation. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex policies, processes, and systems for the integrated implementation of joint and service strategies. Coordinate and collaborate with service planners on national level documents and associated policies and plans. Author service level information papers, speeches, assessments, forum position papers, and strategic documents. Advise and prepare senior leadership for decisions and key leader engagements related to strategic documents and associated plans. Attend planning activities, working groups and forums as required. Keep various Service, DoD, and JS stakeholders aligned on service strategies, plans, and their implementation.
Responsibilities
- Support the research, analysis, and assessment of service strategy, plans, and their implementation.
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex policies, processes, and systems for the integrated implementation of joint and service strategies.
- Collaborate with service planners on national level documents and associated policies and plans.
- Author service level information papers, speeches, assessments, forum position papers, and strategic documents.
- Advise and prepare senior leadership for decisions and key leader engagements related to strategic documents and associated plans.
- Attend planning activities, working groups and forums as required.
- Keep various Service, DoD, and JS stakeholders aligned on service strategies, plans, and their implementation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with the Department of Defense
- Experience in a Joint or Service Headquarters organization
- Experience with coordinating across military branches on national policy and strategy
- Experience with a national security-oriented think tank
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Nice if you have:
- Experience working within a Combatant Command or Service Headquarters
- Experience briefing U.S. military General Officers or senior executive-level officials
- Experience supporting military planning including deliberate, contingency, and crisis and operational planning teams
- Knowledge of strategic documents including NSS, NDS, NMS, and AJA
- Knowledge of Global Force Management (GFM) and the associated strategic documents including GFMIG, GEF, JSCP, and CPG
- Knowledge of the plans portfolios for the Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs) and the Functional Combatant Commands (FCCs)
- Ability to advise, negotiate and persuade various military officials and senior leaders to endorse recommendations, and adhere to guidance, policies and regulations
- Strong research, analysis, and oral and written communication skills

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
