Service Shuttle Driver
Enhances the customers' positive service experience by driving them to or picking them up from their homes or offices while service is being performed on their vehicles.
Drives customers to their homes or places of business and picks them up after their vehicle is repaired.
- Uses good judgment and safe driving skills.
- Keeps a timely shuttle route.
- Aids passengers getting in and out of vehicles.
- Operates radio or similar device to communicate with dealership or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
- Keeps a record of trips including names of passengers and destination or pick-up point.
- Notifies the dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the shuttle vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, and general maintenance.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
Service Valet
Maintain a smooth flow of vehicles through the Service Drive.
- MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST, NO MEDICAL CARDS!
- Essential Duties - Include, but not limited to, the following:
- Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
- Controls service traffic flow and parking.
- Aids service advisors when needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of dirt, water, leaves, snow, etc.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Place vehicle Interior Protection in each vehicle.
- Tag keys and place mirror tags in all vehicles.
- Move vehicles to the appointed parking area and ensure all windows are up and all vehicles are locked.
- Advise management of any customer articles such as CD’s, electronics, cash, etc. left inside any vehicle.
- Adhere to all customer service processes.
- Bring customers’ vehicles to the front of service drive when directed.
- Ensure customers’ vehicle is free of dirt and grease from their service visit.
- Light lifting duties when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned when not needed for the shuttle, such as scanning repair orders.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
