About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of Johnson Controls' service offerings.
  • Closely meet sales plan objectives by closing sufficient sales.
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support the designed sales plan.
  • Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.
  • Maintain correct and complete records of all sales-related activities.
  • Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain positive ongoing relationships with customers to ensure Johnson Controls meets their requirements and fosters long-term customer loyalty.
  • Support the service department to generate leads for service or equipment/device upgrades.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a degree or equivalent work experience (5 years).
  • At least three (3) years of minimum B2B track record of sales experience.
  • Experience selling a service or intangible or technical product.
  • A hunter mentality, experience prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, and closing deals.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal supervision where performance will be measured by meeting quota numbers.
  • Professional communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline preferred.
  • Three (3) years minimum B2B track record of sales experience.
  • Industry or related industry experience.
  • Salesforce competency.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $66,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
