Service Representative (Part-Time) - Bethel
About the role
The Service Representative provides direct customer service satisfying customer banking needs to include accurately handling service transactions (deposits, withdrawals, etc.) in accordance with bank policies and procedures while seeking sales/referral opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate all aspects of the USB Customer Service Commitment Charter and the USB brand.
- Promptly acknowledge the customer's presence and focus directly on them if working on another project.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, respecting customers' time.
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and privacy of customer information.
- Respond to or refer customer concerns to supervisors as appropriate.
- Set clear customer expectations and deliver as promised after follow-up is required.
- Project a professional and positive outlook and demeanor at all times.
- Accountable for successful retention of customers.
- Accurately process transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and negotiable items such as Bank Checks and Money Orders.
- Adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
- Balance TCD and/or TCR accurately and effectively, as necessary.
- Promote USB products and services.
- Aid customers in understanding how USB products and services meet their financial goals through the use of branch banking sales and service processes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all USB products and services sold in the branch to aid in generating quality referrals.
- Aware of products and services offered by cross-line of business partners and assist in generating quality referrals to business partners.
- Exceed individual sales goals and assist the team in meeting sales goals.
- Utilize relevant tracking systems to report and track sales and service activities.
Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required. Must have strong communication skills and be able to work independently.
Qualifications
Must be able to work flexible hours including Monday: 11:30 am - 3:30 pm, Tuesday: 11:30 am - 3:30 pm, Thursday: 11:30 am - 3:30 pm, Friday: 11:30 am - 5:30 pm, Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, totaling 21 hours per week. Must be available to work at the Bethel Branch - 24 Grassy Plain St., Bethel, CT.
Skills
Strong customer service skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
