About the Role
Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients and family members in a consistent and friendly manner.
- Obtains and verifies demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information during the (pre)-registration process.
- Accepts point of service payments or provides guidance for payment options, and clears the patient for service delivery.
- Verifies and updates patient identification, demographic information, and insurance coverage.
- Accepts point of service payments and balances cash drawer at the end of every shift.
- Enters patient information accurately into appropriate hospital information system(s).
- Refers patients with questions regarding financial liability to appropriate resource(s).
- Accepts medical authorization or referral forms; scans clinical information, Missed Appointment Policy, and other documents into Epic as appropriate.
- Initiates Enrollment process for myLoyola.
- Identifies systemic issues and escalates to Lead Service Representative for resolution.
Schedule
6 am - 7 pm Monday-Thursday, 6 am - 4 pm Friday; required to work 2 evenings until 7 pm.
Requirements
- High School Diploma; associate degree preferred.
- Basic Keyboarding Skills.
- Experience with Epic Scheduling, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.

Pay
Pay Range: $18 - $24.44 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
