Responsibilities

  • Act as the customer’s main contact at all times, interacting with customers regularly to ensure their satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities, create proposals, obtain contracts, and manage field resources for assigned projects.
  • Develop estimates and budgets for projects, meeting or exceeding established annual sales expectations.
  • Partner with other divisions within Sequoyah to find opportunities for holistic solutions that include all company offerings.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Develop baseline schedules for projects, measuring progress against the baseline and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate project start-up, ensuring all information is available and coordinating with design and permitting resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records for all assigned projects, measuring and documenting progress and results from planning through project closure.
  • Complete project budgets, monitor job costs weekly, and prepare monthly work in progress (WIP) reports for review and discussion.
  • Manage internal and external project charges and contract changes, ensuring they are expedited, negotiated, and approved.
  • Promote a safe work environment and collaborate with the Safety Director to address safety issues.
  • Schedule and facilitate project closeouts and post-job reviews.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the low voltage systems industry.
  • Experience selling low-voltage system service work and knowledge in low voltage systems, including security and fire alarm.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical construction cost, accounting, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to see, hear well (either naturally or with correction) and speak clearly.
  • Careful coordination of the movement of your eyes, hands, and fingers.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, and bending, repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
  • Reach for, handle, use fingers and manipulate objects.
  • Capable of working extended hours when job/business needs demand.
