Provides critical support to JTM Construction’s Service Department, focusing on project coordination, scheduling support, subcontractor communication, and cost tracking for fast-paced service projects. Ideal for those with construction industry experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage frequent interruptions, and coordinate many smaller projects simultaneously. This full-time, exempt role is located in JTM’s offices in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood.

Pay
Full salary range: $85,000 – $115,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. Bonus target: 3%–10% of annual base earnings.

Responsibilities
- Assist with service bid and agreements, project setup, billing, and closeout
- Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, vendors, and internal field staff
- Resolve day-to-day issues quickly
- Manage project documentation and support billing documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, property managers, and vendors
- Coordinate and schedule service calls, warranty work, and small projects
- Serve as primary point of contact for service-related communication, including intake of requests and status updates
- Create, manage, and track work orders, service tickets, and job documents
- Process and coordinate approved work, including ordering equipment, permits, parts, and materials
- Communicate service issues, escalations, or delays to the Service Manager
- Support billing readiness by ensuring service documentation, tickets, and approvals are complete and accurate
- Support material procurement
- Participate in overall project safety
- Assist with warranty tracking and follow-up
- Proactively manage customer relationships to foster additional work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience working for a commercial general contractor with exposure to service work, tenant improvements, and fast-turn projects
- Hands-on construction field experience is a bonus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and ability to innovate
- Knowledge of P6, Vista, Autodesk, PlanGrid, and BlueBeam preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
- Subject to frequent interruptions
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Ability to remain in a stationary position at a computer terminal for extended periods
- Operate office productivity machinery (copy machine, computer printer, etc.)
- Productive in an office environment with moderate noise and frequent interruptions
- May work in proximity to loud equipment
- Must be able to respond quickly to sounds
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Must be able to detect and respond to dangerous situations
- Must be able to work in cold environments and on concrete floors; occasional outdoor work
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
