Service Porter

About the Role

The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the servicing of vehicles and the upkeep of the dealership property.

Responsibilities

• Greet all service customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Run and maintain alignment and battery check in the Service Drive
• Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the service manager and advisors in accordance with dealership display standards
• Transport customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Assist with customer pickups, pulling around vehicles
• Wash rental and loaner vehicles during downtime
• Assist with weather-related cleanup when necessary
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Take out trash, cardboard, scrap metal, and clean the Service Shop
• Other functions and special projects may be assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to drive manual transmission
• Valid state driver's license
• Ability to pass a background and drug test once a conditional offer of employment is received

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours per week) with a rotating 4-10 hour day schedule per week. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break. This position requires working some Saturdays.
