Service Porter
About the role
The Service Porter performs a variety of duties related to the operation of a service department, interacting daily with customers, technicians, service associates, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates, and managers.
Responsibilities
- Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
- Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
- Maintain a neat and orderly service area by sweeping, removing trash and discarded parts, and other actions required to maintain overall appearance
- Maintain other areas of the service department, such as offices
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Texas Driver’s License (must be insurable and able to drive a standard transmission)

- Regularly required to stand

- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
