About the role

The Plumber will install, repair, and maintain domestic water systems, water heating systems, sanitary sewer systems, storm water systems, and gas piping (both threaded and fusion welded) while adhering to the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). This role requires the use and maintenance of hand and power tools such as sewer snakes, vacuum plungers, acetylene torches, soldering and welding equipment, sewer cameras, and pipe locators.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install various plumbing systems and fixtures in multifamily residential structures.
• Coordinate with project managers and other construction professionals on job sites.
• Read building plans and install plumbing systems according to design specifications.
• Follow current plumbing codes, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain records of time spent on jobs and materials purchased.
• Estimate time and costs for project bidding.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies, including after-hours calls as needed.
• Perform regular maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Assist maintenance team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a service plumber.
• Working knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and codes (IPC, UPC, and local regulations).
• Eligibility to obtain a Journeyman’s Plumbing license within 12 months of hire.
• Proficiency with standard plumbing tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, lift and carry at least 50 lbs unassisted, crawl, climb ladders, kneel, and bend.
• Strong time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Comfort with computers, software, and online ordering platforms.
• Valid driver’s license; frequent travel between properties, including overnight travel as needed.

Pay

$26.00 - $31.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed upon approval.
