Service & Parts Assistant

About the role

Fantastic opportunity for a Service & Parts Assistant. This position is designed to assist our customers with service and parts. Bring your service knowledge (parts is a plus) into the position with an opportunity to learn and grow. You will be responsible for coordinating an effective workflow within the shop. We are looking for a go-getter who can wear many hats!

Compensation & Schedule

Base salary $50k plus commission, no cap. Monday – Friday full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager with writing service work orders and communicating with customers and shop technicians
• Operate the forklift as needed
• Assist customers in selecting required parts when needed
• Receive parts when delivered and organize
• Provide price quotes, receive payments, and obtain credit authorizations
• Answer incoming calls and schedule service for the customers
• Document repair and service orders correctly
• All other duties as assigned

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 50 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 80 lbs.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Commercial truck experience preferred
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently
