Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures and perform basic tasks in the etching or laser welding of transducers.
  • Cooperate as a team member to meet customer needs.
  • Use proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
  • Comply with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.
  • Refer to travelers, engineering travelers, special instructions, and miscellaneous forms for procedures and instructions.
  • Understand and promote the quality statement of "Total Customer Satisfaction."
  • Operate department equipment.
  • Enter new model numbers or changes in existing model numbers programs.
  • Verify conformance of finished work to ensure compliance with company specifications.
  • Perform leak tests and connector weld strength verification tests on laser welds when required.
  • Write legibly, sign, and date travelers when steps are completed.
  • Communicate with supervisors, lead persons, and other production departments regarding product, assembly, documentation, and schedule issues.
  • Ensure all material and equipment calibration stickers are not expired before use, and notify supervisor or lead person if expired or close to expiration.
  • Inspect all workmanship and special processes of an operation performed, ensuring quality before handing off to the next operation.
  • Learn and use microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, epoxy/cures, inspection processes, and good soldering techniques during assembly.
  • Perform tasks such as soldering, spot welding, and washing as needed.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and ISO 9001, AS 9100 standards.
  • Ability to operate department equipment and perform simple assembly tasks.
  • Good visual and manual dexterity.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including sitting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 - 3 years or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent; 1 - 3 years or equivalent experience.
