Production Technician I NC - 1st Shift
About the role
PCB Piezotronics, Inc. is a subsidiary of Amphenol Corporation that manufactures sensors for testing and measuring vibration, pressure, force, acoustics, load, and shock. We serve industries including aerospace and defense, automotive, transportation, civil engineering, and R&D.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks requiring the ability to follow written/verbal instructions and a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Know and use proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
- Understand and comply with manufacturing standards (ISO 9001, etc.).
- Perform tasks efficiently and accurately by following established procedures.
- Refer to documentation (drawings, routers, BoM's, and specifications) to perform simple assembly on various product lines.
- Write legibly, sign, and date traveler when steps are completed.
- Maintain an organized work environment necessary for efficient operation.
- Keep equipment and department neat and clean at all times.
- Work with other technicians, engineers, and departments.
- Communicate with supervisors, lead persons, and other production departments regarding any problems with product, assembly documentation, and/or schedule.
- Ensure all material and equipment calibration stickers are not expired before using, and notify supervisor or lead person if expired or close to expiration.
- Follow safety rules and keep area in an orderly condition.
- Become knowledgeable in the use of all basic assembly equipment in the department.
- Inspect all workmanship and special processes of an operation that was performed ensuring quality before handing into next operation.
- Learn and use microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, epoxy/cures, inspection processes, and good soldering techniques.
- During assembling may perform tasks such as soldering, spot welding, and washing.
- Show commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status.
- Provide information to supervisor and co-workers to positively affect quality and output.
- Perform other related duties as directed to ensure efficient operation of department and PCB.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: Entry-level, basic background in soldering, computer skills, electronics, and problem solving preferred.
