About the role

The primary function of this position involves performing a wide variety of skilled technical maintenance, repair, and testing on complex digital and analog electronic components, electrical and electro-mechanical components, cable assemblies, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and field replaceable units (FRUs) to support robotic systems. Regular use of diagnostic software, specialized testing equipment, analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, clocks, timers, calipers, voltmeters, power supplies, rulers, and other test equipment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, fab drawings, mechanical component drawings to conduct repair and testing of FRUs
  • Performs repair of complex electro-mechanical assemblies per applicable work instructions
  • Performs testing of complex electro-mechanical assemblies per applicable work instructions
  • Aids with failure analysis and Final Test of assemblies and properly documents findings
  • Participates in investigational teams for FRUs to provide input if required
  • Communicates status of repairs with leads/supervisors and other departments as necessary
  • Provides detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during repair, functional test, and calibration to assist in component-level troubleshooting
  • Conducts quality inspection of own or other's work to ensure workmanship standards are met
  • Adheres to GDP guidelines when completing all documentation
  • Initiates material requests
  • Reports quality issues and provides details necessary to create quality notification (VR, PL) records transactions in SAP as needed to preserve traceability
  • Follows all corporate, safety, SOP, DOP procedures and regulations
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workstation
  • Communicates process flow recommendations to Leads/Supervisor/Manager or designee

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and AA or equivalent; minimum of AA or college degree preferred; 1-2 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Skills and Experience: Proficient in use of personal computers as part of daily work, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and SAP ERP System, ACCS (Agile) system (our quality system) to retrieve and submit on-line documentation; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical internal customers; acute attention to detail; excellent organizational skills; high level of professional integrity and ethics; ability to work varying shifts; must have ability to complete training courses; ability to work in a team environment
