Essential Job Functions

• Clean the facility (inside and out) on a nightly basis.
• Operate CIP cycles in a timely manner, multitasking, and managing a high-paced, stressful environment.
• Sanitize assigned plant areas according to Pre-Operations inspections by Quality Control and USDA standards.
• Perform other duties as directed by Supervision and/or Lead personnel.
• Make suggestions for improving sanitation processes.

Qualifications

• Work safely and exemplify safe working practices.
• Follow all established Safety rules and practices, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, chemical applications, PPE, etc.
• Operate CIP cycles in a timely manner, multitasking, and manage a high-paced, stressful environment.
• Perform established Sanitation tasks and adhere to Sanitation Departmental standards and USDA standards.
• Have the ability and willingness to perform repetitive reaching, bending, and scrubbing to sanitize assigned areas.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs., climb ladders up to 10 feet, and use high-pressure hoses.
• Have the ability and willingness to use concentrated cleaning solutions, including chlorine bleach, and use Powered-Industrial Trucks (PIT).
• Pass Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LO/TO) certification or be able to obtain it.
• Pass Powered-Industrial Truck (PIT) certification or be able to obtain it.
• Work the scheduled times and occasional overtime, maintaining good attendance.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Pay and Benefits

The starting pay rate is $21.40 per hour, with additional premiums for attendance ($0.25), shift work ($1.00), longevity ($0.25 after one year), and medical, dental, and vision health insurance, along with various voluntary benefits and retirement plans.
