About the Role
The Service Manager oversees operations, sales, and administration within the company’s service department. This role provides strategic guidance, supervision, and leadership to a diverse workforce, with a focus on the service representative position.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly manages a team of employees.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, developing, and managing performance for direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Assume full profit and loss accountability for the service department.
- Ensure effective planning and achievement of project long-term and short-term goals.
- Maximize engagement and performance of service personnel in compliance with applicable laws and company values.
- Approve financial applications and reports; complete ad hoc assignments as designated by management.
- Ensure adherence to the service department’s budget, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with management, customers, and service/sales personnel for smooth collaboration.
- Build partnerships to grow the business within the industry marketplace.
- Oversee branch KPI results, including coaching, managing, and leading team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in the B2B Facility Services or Distribution industry (preferred).
- 1+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong marketing and sales strategy development experience.
- Working knowledge of the safety industry (preferred).
- Ability to set and meet aggressive business objectives.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead staff to excellent performance.
- Strong track record of building strategic partnerships and market growth.
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and pass a drug and background check.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking on the phone.
- Attending virtual online meetings and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel as needed.
