Service Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, steps of service, and guest satisfaction
• In conjunction with all management, enforce compliance with all employment policies and oversee cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times
• Provide or direct all Front of House training
• Manage performance of Front of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
• Manage liquor orders and control liquor costs
• Enforce applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines
• Assist with the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
• Review applications, interview, and hire or recommend the hiring of Front of House employees
• Direct work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant
• Create a fun, safe environment by following our core values and operational goals, and implementing contests, theme nights, and creating incentives for the staff
• Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures

Qualifications

• Able to drive sales, steps of service, and guest satisfaction
• Comprehensive understanding of employment policies and ability to enforce them
• Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to conduct performance evaluations, coach, and discipline employees
• Experience managing liquor orders and controlling costs
• Knowledge of applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines
• Ability to develop and train key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a fun, safe work environment
• Understanding and practice of safe food handling procedures
