Service Manager

About the role

The Service Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for inspiring and motivating a team to provide superior service, leading front-end operations, and overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape the culture in the store by modeling leadership behaviors aligned with Sprouts values.
• Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring team members provide superior customer service.
• Assist customers and listen to and resolve complaints.
• Communicate standards, expectations, and policy changes to the team.
• Coordinate and execute team member appreciation events and reward programs.
• Manage team member recruitment, training, and performance.
• Oversee administrative tasks, cash handling, and store operations.
• Facilitate career development and communicate sales promotion information.
• Ensure proper signage and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Address emergencies and resolve issues as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading total building operations with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, sanitation, staffing, disciplinary actions, training, developing leaders, conducting performance appraisals, meeting deadlines, managing inventory and shrink, executing sales promotions, and merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with attention to detail, analytical, and solution-focused decisiveness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and human resources software.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that changes based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift 60 pounds, push and pull racks and U-boats of merchandise, stand on hard surfaces continuously, walk up to 2 miles, reach vertically to access upper levels, and transfer items horizontally.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) consistent with the task assignment.
