Duties And Responsibilities
- Coach youth in the development of their success plans.
- Work with youth to explore current and future opportunities.
- Create a supportive relationship with youth that encourages them to find their voice and connects them to opportunities, experiences and resources that enrich and enhance their lives.
- Ensure that the needs of the youth are always met, prioritizing safety while providing guardrails and maintaining a spirit of flexibility.
- Create learning opportunities which offer youth voice, choice and are adaptive.
- Engage with youth all in program spaces.
- Participate in success plan meetings as scheduled.
- Document information regarding all client interaction, caseload progress and outside agency contact.
- Complete all related documentation including census, intake, assessments and transition.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in ETO, HMIS as required.
- Ensure compliance with all funding requirements.
- Allocate and document the distribution of petty cash and bus tickets.
- Provide weekly supervision of Youth Engagement Specialists and Youth Engagement Support Staff and demonstrate best practices as provided through The Model Of Care training materials.
- Complete staff’s monthly schedule, ensuring that all shifts are properly covered.
- Conduct daily review of progress notes to ensure the quality of care.
- Maintain and/or establish partnership with other service providers and community agencies.
- Maintain the safety, cleanliness and oversight of the program spaces and property.
- Report issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain adequate supplies and equipment to carry out the function of the programs.
- Utilize agency resources which include but are not limited to the vehicles, computers, telephones for agency use only.
- Attend professional development training as assigned.
- Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
- Actively participate in volunteer activities to ensure that programming is appropriate and adds value.
- Collaborate with the volunteer department to enhance programmatic opportunities.
- Attend professional development training as assigned.
- Develop Aftercare plans for youth leaving Rights of Passage to attain identified goals, including safe & stable housing, connection to job training, education, healthcare, mental health services and life skills.
- Supervise and oversee case planning for Independent Living clients in Monmouth County.
- Conduct home visits for youth living in their own apartments.
- Maintain and/or establish partnerships with other service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human service or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and crisis management skills and the ability to handle physically challenging situations.
- Excellent assessment and judgment capabilities.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable record.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm. Must be flexible to provide adequate supervision and building coverage.
