Job Description This position is responsible for oversight of the service plumbing department. Also responsible for following and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the company fulfills its contractual obligations for service repair, installations, and maintenance in accordance with customer satisfaction, profit objectives and directives. The Service Manager is the person that coordinates all of the activity between the office and the field. Starting pay is determined upon skills and experience. Job Responsibilities Supervise and lead Service Technicians and Installation CrewDirectly responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, managing, and evaluating field techniciansConduct ride a longs with technicians and provide feedbackEnsure all repairs and installs are completed to the highest quality standards and if necessary all permits are obtainedCommunicate and monitor goalsManage workload and schedules to best utilize manpower and maximize profitsEnsure technicians are being dispatched effectivelyAssist technicians with issues while in the fieldFacilitate weekly meetingsResolve customer issues or concerns to ensure complete satisfactionEnsure all department operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and company requirementsEnsure all team members comply with safety standardsInstill a culture of accountability and pride in individual & team performanceProvide feedback to managers regarding market trends, revenue opportunities, customer issues, and all issue relevant to the businessManage and stay within departmental budgetAchieve budgeted gross marginManage inventory, equipment and service fleetReview, approve new products and servicesPerform clerical duties associated with, but not limited to, field technician paperwork, personnel evaluations, and expense reportsCarry out additional duties assigned by the General Manager or OwnerOne third of your time should be spent recruiting the right team members, one third of your time should be spent training those team members, and the last third should be spent supervising, administrating, and motivating your team. Manage your time in these proportions and you will be a successful leader. Minimum Qualifications High school diplomaDriver licenseBasic computer skills including Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsKnowledge of current code requirementsUnderstanding of accounting and KPIs as they relate to the industry
