Job Summary
Anderson Equipment’s Service Intern program provides hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of construction equipment. This position is available at four of our branches, but all 19 locations are eligible.
Responsibilities
- Take directions from the Service Manager, Leadman, or experienced Service Technicians.
- Assignments may include:
- Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Aid other Service Technicians in more complex repairs.
- Tasks such as:
- Loading and unloading machinery.
- Completing check-in and check-out procedures.
- Fueling equipment.
- Steam cleaning machines.
- Organizing equipment and attachments in the yard.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Currently enrolled in a two or four-year accredited vocational college relevant to construction equipment repair and maintenance.
- Basic familiarity with equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical, and hydraulic systems (preferred).
- Basic understanding of computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers (preferred).
- Ownership of adequate hand tools (required).
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation varies based on location, experience, and skills, with an hourly rate ranging from $19.00 to $24.00. This is a temporary position and the Service Intern is not eligible for company-provided benefits, including Paid Time Off (PTO).
