Responsibilities
- Conduct all work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies and procedures.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and attend required technician training classes.
- Maintain awareness of technical changes in the industry and required tools for job performance.
- Perform repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Work neatly and improve methods, work areas, and safety standards.
- Maintain field service truck in proper condition, following contamination control guidelines and performing general maintenance.
- Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs.
- Complete documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus estimates and notify supervisors of cost overruns before job completion.
- Maintain positive conduct, support team efforts, and accomplish tasks on time while meeting safety and quality expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Proficient in computer use, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs (highly desired).
- Willingness to update knowledge through frequent re-training (once or more per year).

Physical Demands
- Frequently (3-6 hours/day): Climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, fingering, grasping, repetitive motion, talking, hearing, pushing/pulling/lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally (up to 3 hours/day): Balancing, stooping, crawling, pushing/pulling/lifting 26-50 lbs or over 50 lbs.
- Constantly (6-8 hours/day): Sitting.
Working Environment
- Frequently (3-6 hours/day): Inside conditions (protected from weather but not temperature changes), outside environmental conditions, extreme heat (above 100°F), noise requiring shouting, vibration, hazards (e.g., moving parts, electrical current, high places, chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, gases, poor ventilation), exposure to oils.
- Occasionally (up to 3 hours/day): Extreme cold (below 32°F), air particulates/contaminants requiring respirator use.
Schedule
