Key Requirements
- Must reside within a 45-minute commute of the work site.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Willingness to work on-site daily.
- Availability for on-call support and occasional shift coverage.
- Strong server hardware troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Occasional alternate shift support required.
- On-call participation required.
- No travel required.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for server and data center infrastructure, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal downtime.
- Perform hardware maintenance, including server builds, component replacements, system swaps, and firmware updates.
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and operating system issues.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams during service events.
- Document all work activities and maintain accurate service records.
- Participate in on-call rotations and extended support coverage as needed.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in technical support, field service, or data center operations.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting servers and data center hardware in enterprise, field service, or customer-facing environments.
- Hands-on experience with server components, including: CPUs, Memory, Power supplies, GPUs, Full server replacements.
- Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and support emerging technologies, including AI infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with liquid/water-cooled servers.
- PC building experience.
- Vendor certifications (Dell or equivalent).
- Previous security clearance or ability to obtain one.
