Service Diesel Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of heavy-duty equipment.
• Perform basic PM maintenance and parts replacement.
• Remove and install major components with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and work area.
• Possess a basic set of standard and metric mechanics tools.
• Accurately follow directions and complete required paperwork.
• Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
• Move various types of heavy-duty equipment as needed.
• Attend and complete training schools on specific products as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in Heavy duty construction or Heavy Equipment Machinery (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, hydraulics, engines, etc.).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Diesel/Hydraulics (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Desire to improve and advance with chosen position.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, powertrains and fuel systems.
• Safe and considerate work habits.
• Basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
• Ability to move various types of heavy-duty equipment.

Pay

• $2,500 Sign On Bonus.
