About the Role

As a Service Deli Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market, LLC, you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while delivering exceptional customer service. You will stock cases, maintain product displays, and ensure a variety of high-quality deli items are available. Compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements is essential, along with cleaning and sanitizing dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and build rapport with customers while displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude.
• Respond to customer questions effectively and assist with orders for deli services.
• Provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders.
• Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
• Operate slicers and handle sharp objects safely to execute duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Highly organized with a keen sense of detail.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
• Work environment is typical of a retail store, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud.
• The deli area is cooler than most parts of the store; must be comfortable working in a cold environment.
• Minimal sitting is required.

Pay

Hourly wage range: $15.00–$20.10. Individual pay is determined by location, skills, relevant work experience, and education/training.
