Service Coordinator

About the role

Westminster Communities of Florida seeks an experienced Service Coordinator for its affordable housing communities in Downtown Orlando. This position is responsible for conducting a person-centered assessment to understand the needs of the resident and develop and modify a resident's required services. The main objective is to link residents to supportive services necessary for them to remain independent and in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct person-centered assessments to understand resident needs
• Develop and modify required services for residents
• Link residents to supportive services
• Ensure residents remain independent and in their own homes
• Work with residents to access necessary resources
• Advocate for residents' needs
• Organize and solve problems for residents
• Provide results that support residents' independence
• Display creativity and flexibility in service delivery
• Knowledge of various technology sources

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
• Two to three years of experience in social service delivery with senior citizens and non-elderly disabled

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are strongly preferred
• The ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking residents and their families is highly valued
