Service Center Technician

About the role

Xylem is a global water technology company dedicated to solving water challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions. We are seeking a Service Center Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization
• Take care of company property
• Demonstrate a high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Proactively troubleshoot systems, work with mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, and manage parts inventory
• Anticipate and correct safety issues (both company and customer-owned equipment)
• Interface with customers
• Support the delivery of Xylem equipment when necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• May have industry-specific licenses
• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card
• Clean driving record
• Work experience preferred (2 to 5 years of technical work experience, including industrial or commercial process water experience)

Pay

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.

Schedule

This role may require occasional travel (20%-30%) and may involve working weekends, nights, or being on-call as a regular part of the job.
